Pastor Johnny and Family

Pastor Johnny Murillo graduated from Southern Arizona Bible College in 1989 and in that same year married his wife of 18 years, Terry Murillo from Denver, Colorado. After graduation they served on the school administration as Directors of Student Ministries. Two years later they felt a call to go into youth ministries and served as youth pastors in Cortez, Colorado for four years. From there the Lord led them to Greeley, Colorado to serve as associate pastors and Master's Commission directors, as well as start an extension of Trinity Life Bible College from Sacramento.

After four successful years of preparing college students for ministry they were elected as District Youth Directors for the Central District of the Assemblies of God, over seeing the student ministries of 145 churches in six Rocky Mountain states. Traveling more than 300,000 miles in an RV with their three children, Jonathon, Myriah and Bethany, they were involved in leadership training, youth conferences, camps, campus outreaches, etc, as well as planting Denver Metro Kids an inner city ministry doing sidewalk Sunday school in the projects of Denver, Colorado reaching and feeding 300 plus kids every week.

In April of 2002 they met Pastor Wayne Cordeiro of New Hope Christian Fellowship of Honolulu, Hawaii and were invited by him to come for a year of mentorship and church planting training. After the year was complete they came to join the team led by Bishop Steve Perea of Christian Worship Center of Manteca and assume the role of pastors to Christian Worship Center of Sacramento.
